About Us

Trojan Florist and Gifts has been in business for over 50 years. It was founded by Harriet Shook in the late 1960s. Mrs Shook located the florist in the Historic District of Downtown Troy where it is still located. The Florist was purchased in 1983 by Ray Harellson where he continued to serve the community with the same service, quality and uniqueness of the products and designs Mrs Shook demanded for more than 30 years. In July of 2019, Trojan Florist was purchased by Francis and Jules Harris with the promise to carry on the Trojan Florist legacy. Jules runs the daily operations while designing and changing the studio standards to a more modern and eclectic style. We look forward to serving you and helping you to spread joy!

Specialty services

We are a full-service florist specializing in all areas of the floral industry such as Floral Design, Sympathy, weddings, corporate work, theme parties, home holiday decorating and placement of gravesite arrangements and decorations at Troy's Riverside Cemetery. We also can accommodate your busy schedule by booking weddings, parties and funeral arrangements after hours, by appointment.

We carry Winan's chocolate, plants, dried and silk arrangements. Fruit baskets, fresh baked goods and gift baskets are also available but require 48-hour notice. Please call for more details.

We deliver morning and afternoon to all funeral homes and Upper Valley Medical Center as well as the new Troy Kettering Hospital.

Delivery Policy

A local delivery fee between $13 and $20 will be added to each order, for each address. (For deliveries outside our local delivery area, this fee may vary.)
U.S. orders must be received before 12:00 p.m. in the recipient's time zone to help assure same-day delivery. Orders received after that time will be delivered the following day.
We will do our best to accommodate deliveries at a specific time of day, but we cannot guarantee it.
We are unable to make deliveries on Sunday with the exception of funeral orders which must be received by Friday. Other orders requesting delivery on this day will be delivered the following business day.
Deliveries of orders to rural route addresses or cemeteries must have detailed instructions for delivery. We will be happy to accept your international orders if you call our shop directly. We are unable to accept international orders over the internet.

Substitution Policy

Occasionally, substitutions may be necessary to create your bouquet due to the availability of certain flowers in various parts of the country. Care is taken to maintain the style, theme and color scheme of the arrangement, using flowers of equal value. Additionally, the substitution of certain keepsake items may be necessary due to increased demand, especially during major holidays. In single-flower arrangements, such as an all rose bouquet, or orchids, we will make every attempt to match the flower type, but may substitute with another color.
